Oasis of the Seas - The Enhanced Version (2023)

When it was first launched in 2009, Oasis of the Seas was the largest cruise ship in the world. And in general we are talking about five times bigger than the Titanic. Part of Royal Caribbean's Oasis class, it is now the fourth largest in the world. And she continues to lead the rest of the Oasis-class ships. This cruise line earned the title of Game Changer for revolutionizing the way cruise lines offer their services, increasing the types of attractions available on a cruise and sparking the trend for full-size cruise lines to compete with any brand. of resort. 🇧🇷 The 2019 "Amplified Version" of this future-oriented ship is just as impressive, if not more impressive than the younger me of her. And just returned, I can say that there are no signs of age. The reinforced version will blow your mind!

A Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean International (RCI), formerly known as Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (RCCL), is a cruise line founded inNorway1968 due to the merger of Anders Wilhelmsen & Company, Gotaas Larsen and I.M. Skaugen & Company. RCI offers the world's best vacation cruise lines and many must-see destinations. It is possible to visit islands in the middle of the Caribbean Sea with beautiful beaches and private islands, or visit the impressive glaciers of Alaska. The cruise line also offers a package to visit the oldest ports in the Mediterranean. Royal Caribbean has established itself as a leader and innovator in inflight entertainment. And their cruise ships are worlds apart from their competitors and rule the seas.

Royal Caribbean Ship Classes

Royal Caribbean is a large cruise company with a large fleet classified by class. The size of the ship determines the class. The cruise line has a fleet of 27 ships and several ships it plans to add to its extensive fleet. The organization divided the boats into eight classes because each one has different sizes and entertainment for a specific audience. These are the Royal Caribbean classes:

empress class

Royal Caribbean's Quantum class is similar in size to the Oasis class. But his innovations are unrivaled. North Star, RipCord Skydiving Simulator, Two70, SeaPlex and Music Hall are among the innovative features of this family of boats. Additionally, the Quantum class is the first in the fleet to offer dynamic dining.

Live dining doesn't follow schedules or set tables, and there's no main dining room (instead, there's a formal dining room). Each night, passengers can choose from four complimentary restaurants and a variety of escorts and servers.

freedom class

Along with the Voyager Class, Royal Caribbean's Freedom Class is the next generation. These ships have not only gotten longer, but have also gained some fun features. This class has basketball courts, rock faces, miniature golf courses, ice rinks, FlowRidersurfSimulators, boxing rings and H20 area. From 2006 to 2009, this group of ships held the record for "the largest ships in the world."

oasis class

Oasis-class cruise ships are among the largest and most expensive. Nearly 10,000 passengers and crew can travel on these 226,000-ton vessels, which cost approximately $1.4 billion.

Quantenklasse

Royal Caribbean's Quantum-class ships offer all the comforts of the massive Oasis-class ships, but are smaller, holding just over 4,000 passengers. The class consists of three ships, but only one, Anthem of the Seas, has been marketed for Western travelers; the other two are dating.Asia.

ultra quantum class

In 2017, it was announced that Spectrum of the Seas, the fourth ship in the Quantum class, would be the Quantum Ultra class, which would feature significant improvements over the original class, but not enough to warrant the creation of a new class of boats. These ships continue many of the successful traits of the Quantum-class ships. Technology has advanced to the point that these boats are the most advanced in the world, offering maximum versatility.

radiation class

The Radiance class includes four ships: Radiance, Brilliance, Serenade, and Jewel of the Seas. This class of Royal Caribbean ships has a lot of glass. Some features of the ship are made of glass, such as glass elevators and glass-walled dining rooms. Also, Radiance had the first self-leveling pool tables.

sovereign class

Majesty of the Seas, Royal Caribbean's only Sovereign-class ship, is the oldest ship in the fleet, though it doesn't have the smallest passenger capacity. She does short cruising in hot weather and is known as a party boat.

vision class

The Vision-class ships are unique to Royal Caribbean in that each ship has its unique offerings and sizes, even though they were all built in the 1990s and carry less than just over 2,000 passengers. Like the Radiance class, this class of ship offers a great view of the sea from the interior.

Voyager-Klasse

Royal Caribbean's Voyager-class ships are famous for their size. They are the sixth largest in the world after the Oasis, Quantum and Freedom classes. Some of the distinguishing features of the Voyager class are theIce skatingRinque, Royal Promenade y Flowrider Surfsimulator.

We're only interested in learning a bit more about the Oasis class because that's where the Oasis of the Seas ship is located. In addition, you will find some other options that may interest you and many other cruises that can offer you different experiences.

Defined oasis class

The Oasis class consists of five massive ships, each offering unlimited fun and activities on board. Here is the current schedule for the Oasis-class ships:

  • oasis of the seas: This ship was launched in December 2009, weighs 225,282 tons and has capacity for 6,699 guests.
  • enchant two seas: This ship was launched in December 2010, weighs 225,282 tons and has capacity for 6,780 guests.

  • *** two seas: Royal Caribbean plans to add another cruise ship to the Oasis class in 2024. However, there is still a lot of information to be confirmed.

What makes the Oasis class different?

This class specializes in top-notch entertainment, amenities, dining options, and activities. I was on two Royal Caribbean cruises prior to the Oasis of the Seas. There is no comparison, no. The Oasis class is in a league of its own and it would be impossible to see and do everything this ship has to offer. If you've never left the ship, you may have the opportunity to accommodate it all. And there's so much to see and do that you don't need to leave unless you want to explore the destinations. Here is a small part of what you can expect from the Oasis class:

Oasenviertel

El Tour Real

At the start of each Oasis Class cruise, guests and performers can be seen on the Royal Promenade, where live music is performed. This energetic neighborhood serves as the focal point for all your vacation needs, with a hustle and bustle of shops, restaurants, and bars (there's even a Latin American nightclub). You can view, print or email your travel documents at any time during your stay at customer service kiosks located throughout the hotel. In this neighborhood, the parades and confetti launches are usually spontaneous. Have your camera ready or not, my GodLanguageI would not smile with this post!

parque Central

All Oasis-class ships have an elegant gathering place, Central Park, which opens up to the sky. Tranquil pathways meander through gardens of exotic flowers and trees at this lush retreat. There are plenty of quiet places to read and relax, and upscale shops to satisfy your retail therapy needs. There's also fine dining at Royal Caribbean's Chops GrilleSM, world wines at Vintages and fine dining at cozy 150 Central Park.

entertainment palace

This neighborhood lights up after sunset. The best nightlife can be found aboard all Oasis-class ships near the action-packed Royal Promenade. Jazz On 4 presents live jazz and blues, includingclandestine barChicago's Prohibition-era inspired cocktail lounge, karaoke sessions at On Air Club, and dazzling performances in the Main Theater and on the ice at Studio B. Entertainment Place also serves as the gateway to Casino Royale, so if You are lucky, you can bet.

Paseo

This family-friendly Oasis Class neighborhood conjures up images of Coney Island and the quaint piers that line the coast of England with their handcrafted wooden carousels and classic carnival rides. In addition, the outdoor section of the ship is home to rock-climbing walls, casual dining for kids, and the amphitheater-style AquaTheater, where aerialists perform thrilling and exciting stunts.Divingin the deepest basin of the ship. An Oasis class staple, Boardwalk is the perfect spot for guests who are young or just young at heart.

Oasis of the Seas - The Enhanced Version (6)

swimming pool and sports area

If you're looking for activities on a cruise, you can't go wrong with the pool and sports area. Guests of all ages will love this Oasis class room that stretches the length of the ship. In addition to four unique pools, there are two FlowRider surf simulators; an adults-only area called the Solarium, basketball, volleyball, and soccer courts, and Royal Caribbean favorites like miniature golf and the kids' H2O Zone and Splashaway Bay. You can test your mettle on the world's first ocean zip line, which rises ten decks above the waterfront.

Vitality At Sea Spa and Gym

Whether you're cruising as a couple or just want to relax while the kids play, the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center is a must. The spa offers a wide range of services, from massages to facials and acupuncture, relaxing relaxation rooms and a state-of-the-art thermal suite with ceramic beds, saunas and steam baths, a spa for the little ones, the Y Spa. that offers services specially adapted to children. If you prefer to train alone or join a groupexerciseThere are many ways to stay active at the gym.

youth area

Home to the award-winning Adventure Ocean youth program, Youth Zone is an exciting haven for kids to have fun and make friends on your family cruise. It is packed with revolutionary community spaces, educational activities, games and events designed for different age groups. You'll also find Royal Babies and Royal Tots, the cruise line's nursery for babies and toddlers ages 6 to 36 months. The Youth Zone operates every day and offers a night care service if parents wish to spend the night of an adult on deck.

Teen-Lounge

We took this cruise precisely because of the activities on board. Forget sailing destinations; This ship was in Monkey'sWish list🇧🇷 Apart from all the amazing things to do. The Teen Lounge is perfect for youth ages 13-17! El Mono was there every night and it was a youthful paradise. I couldn't see it in person. You know, because your aunt showing up would "compress" your style, so I can't tell you what she was thinking. What can I say, she loved her! And he was there every night. Teens can play games, hang out, and listen to music.

surveillance: There is a curfew for young people on board. it's 1:00 a.m.

Über Oasis of the Seas

The Oasis of the Seas is one of the largest cruise ships in the world, the fourth to be exact. Offering numerous attractions in a location that are light years ahead, this ship features multiple concepts that are light years ahead of the rest of the industry.

Facts about the marine oasis

  • The ship was launched on December 5, 2009.
  • The ship was in dry dock in 2014 and 2019 for her upgrade.
  • There are 2,196 crew members on board as employees for the cruise.
  • The Oasis of the Seas is 45m wide, 361m long and 22.55m high.
  • The ship weighs 22,282 tons.
  • The ship has a capacity for 5,400 passengers and a maximum of 6,680 passengers.
  • The Oasis of the Seas has 2,742 available staterooms.
  • There are more than 12,000 plants that provide a natural outdoor environment.
  • The ship has 12 floors.

Oasis of the Seas Kabinenkategorien

There are 2,700 staterooms on the Oasis of the Seas. Although it is a cruise ship, choosing the type of cabin can be very similar to choosing a room in any hotel. When choosing your ideal cabin, you should always consider your personal needs. You also need to consider what you can afford. We bought an interior cabin, but we bid to upgrade it to a balcony and won.

The upgrade cost us $200, a wise investment.

our bedroom

As mentioned above, I booked an inside cabin and offered $200 to get the balcony room. As well as impressed with the layout, decor and overall size.

Internal

Inside cabins are the most basic of all cruising cabins. However, do not dismiss them. I personally booked and loved the interior cabins. They are ideal for people who have no concept of time. In terms of size, they are not usually much smaller than the balcony rooms. They have the space to be cozy and are equipped to meet all needs.

They are also the cheapest way to sail – these are the cheapest cabins to book.

stranger's perspective

As the name implies, these cottages offer great views of the sea and countryside that you never thought you could see. Many of these rooms have the same dimensions as the interiors and have the same type of services inside.

balcony

We know that a beautiful view on a cruise is the dream. One of the nice features of the Oasis of the Seas is that there is more than just a balcony with an ocean view. This ship offers staterooms with balconies overlooking the ocean or common areas like Central Park or the Boardwalk. All rooms with balcony have an area of at least 182 square meters. ft and a porch area of 52 square meters. There are different types of rooms with balcony:

  • Balcony overlooking Central Park
  • Balcony overlooking the promenade
  • balcony with sea view
  • Connecting balcony with sea views
  • Ocean view with large balcony.
  • balcony with sea view

suite classes

If you have the money, Royal Suite Class is the right choice. The Oasis of the Seas offers many different suites. Royal Suite Class is the most luxurious option and offers the most incredible array of amenities. Almost all the suites have a balcony, but some only have a large window to reveal a view of the sea on another level. You will also find suites that offer plenty of space and a large balcony on 2 floors.

Here are the different types of suites. And just so we're clear, if you're a gamer and want to do it all, you need to book the Royal Loft suite! There are only two on the ship and it costs about $9,000 per week.

  • Junior suite with balcony
  • Grand Suite - 1 bedroom
  • Suite-Loft Coroa
  • Owner's Suite - 1 Bedroom
  • Spacious AquaTheater Suite - 1 Bedroom
  • Ultimate Panorama Suite
  • Lg Spacious Suite with AquaTheater Balcony - 2 Bedrooms
  • Grand Panorama Suite - 1 bedroom
  • Suite Loft Estrella

Oasis of the Seas Restaurants

One of the best things about a cruise is the food, and on the Oasis of the Seas it's the highlight. Food is included and you don't need to spend extra money unless you want to. But again, they are optional. The Oasis of the Seas was my 10th cruise and the food on this ship was the best I've ever had. We've had everything from escargot and lobster to lamb chops and back! Specialty restaurants require an additional charge. I have eaten at specialty restaurants on cruise ships. It's a great option if you can't find anything you like on the main menu. Still, I think you'll have a hard time not finding anything you like on the main menu of the included restaurants:

meals included

  • break winds
  • park cafe
  • Kennel on the waterfront
  • solarium bistro
  • unbelievably cool
  • Sorrentines
  • Café Paseo Marítimo
  • main dining room
  • Johnny Rockets (breakfast only)

Dine in the main dining room

(Video) What's different about Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class cruise ships?

Sample menu for Oasis Of The Seas

Well, keep a few things in mind. The menu changes every day, but some classics are available every day, like steak. You can also customize each order and swap out sauces etc. And while you can add things like a lobster entrée, you don't have to because one of your dinner nights will include a lobster dinner!

foods with additives

  • chop grill
  • 150 parque central
  • mess of john
  • Johnny Rockets (lunch and dinner)
  • vintages
  • Vital Coffee
  • Izumi
  • Zuckerstrand
  • Playmakers Sports BarVideogames
  • Barbecue in the port
  • Starbucks, which is also not included in any beverage package.

Pro Tip for Dining on Cruises

Most people don't realize that you can order as much food as possible. For example, there may be several appetizers that you want to try. Order as many as you want! The same goes for dinner and dessert. You can order several. This is a perfect way to try new foods that you might not try otherwise. Monkey (my language) is a foodie. He tried so many new things and we ordered a cheese board every night!

food packages

It can be intimidating looking at the more than 20 restaurants that Oasis of the Seas has to offer. If you like special dinners, try a package. There are packages you can purchase that cover these restaurants:

  • 3 restaurant package: Includes only three meals at three different locations along the trip. This pack is perfect for anyone who knows where to eat.
  • unlimited dinner package: If you want to eat in several places and try a little of everything, this package only allows you to eat in many restaurants. Plus, it includes some discounts on bottled wines at restaurants and allows you to dine at those restaurants only on days you're at sea.

No muestra Oasis Of The Seas

Are you a theater buff? You will love the shows on board. Oasis of the Seas has more than 68 shows in its repertoire where you can find some Broadway shows and Tony Award winners. They also offer ice skating shows, water theater shows, and productions on the Oasis of the Seas. All the live performances take place at the Teatro Real and these are just a few examples that you can find on a week-long cruise: Grease, Cats, Hairspray, Mamma Mia and many others.

On our cruise we got to see Andrew Loyd Webber's Cats. I've seen Cats twice in Chicago and once thereNY🇧🇷 I was struck that the version performed on Oasis of the Seas was comparable to Broadway. I'd say it's just as good. You won't see big name performers, but you will see a professional quality show that is as good as any theatrical production. I know this may sound corny, but when I think of cruise ship "shows", I immediately think of hijinks or mediocre entertainment. Not that that's my experience per se. It is more of a perception than a reality. Regardless, I was impressed with Cats' performance on Oasis of the Seas.

Oasis of the Seas - The Enhanced Version (25)

Unfortunately I didn't see any water show or comedy. We missed the water show because Monkey insisted we do the escape room (sigh) and the comedy shows were late for me!

activitiesIn the oasis of the seas

Anything can happen on the Oasis of the Seas, but you'll never be bored on a cruise. Activities for each age group are an integral part of the Royal Caribbean experience, giving a different meaning to true fun at sea. The sheer volume of things to do is overwhelming. Here is a list of some activities and things you can do on board:

2 FlowRider surf simulators

Waves can be ridden in oceans, rivers, and more recently, swimming pools. Wave Loch founder Tom Lochtefeld introduced the first FlowRider at Schlitterbahn Water Park in Texas. In a FlowRider, water is injected through a 3-inch surface area of the membrane formed by submersible propeller pumps. This creates a standing wave, or wave plate, which allows surfers to ride their continuously flowing face. Water is constantly pumped into the FlowRider, creating a wave of light that can theoretically be ridden indefinitely.

What adventurous child or adult wouldn't want to try the FlowRider?

Then there are 3D movies, arcade, basketball, carousel, karaoke, laser tag (some ships have laser tag due toCOVID-19), outdoor movie screens, zip lining, rock climbing and more.

Ice skating

Ice skating on a cruise, who would have thought? Leave it to Royal Caribbean and boom, it's a thing!

Oasis of the Seas - The Enhanced Version (26)

highest abyss

This is a 10-story slide, the highest slide in the sea that you can slide down. It's on deck 16 between the two FlowRiders, so you can't miss it. Adults and children can descend to deck six, the Broadwalk.

Oasis of the Seas - The Enhanced Version (27)

vanishing space

Escape Room is not an included activity, it costs $20 per person and you must be at least thirteen years old. It's worth the money if you like escape rooms. The monkey, like me, wants to try everything and everyone, and the escape room was at the top of his to-do list. Since it was mentioned so high up, we missed the water show for this one. The theme of this escape room is to launch a rocket into space.

I hated it. Not because it's a terrible escape room; It is not. He hates escape rooms for several reasons. I can never solve problems, and two of the countless times I have, we rarely "escaped." If you're wondering why I've been doing this so many times, this is why! It was the "preferred corporate activity" when they started and I have participated in it in several states. Different themes, same show.

On the other hand, Monkey loved it and would say it exceeded his expectations. We played with a great group of people who made us feel welcome and even Macaco. We didn't win or shoot our rocket, but it was a great experience for Monkey. And now that he has his badge, I can confidently say that this will be my last escape room. The things you do for love!

Oasis of the Seas - The Enhanced Version (28)

swimming pools and water parks

One of the main attractions of the Oasis of the Seas is theWater parkand water slides. Oasis of the Seas features four adults-only pools on board, ten Jacuzzis, Splashaway Bay water park, and kids' water slides. In addition, the water park located on the ship offers:

  • bunte dias
  • water cannon
  • Fuentes
  • pool
  • hot tubs for kids

Children must be supervised by their legal guardians and must be toilet trained. Royal Caribbean does not allow diapers in the pool, the maximum weight is 300 pounds and the minimum height is 42 inches. Remember to check that your children meet the requirements to use the swimming pools and water parks.

Solarium - Exclusive area for adults

On deck 15 is the solarium, one of the most popular aquatic attractions for adults. Here my friends escape from itLanguage🇧🇷 The solarium is an adults-only area that includes a pool, jacuzzis, and loungers with mattresses.

I didn't need the solarium because I was just lookingmy languagefor dinner. I could relax on our porch, take a quiet nap, or have a drink at an uncrowded bar!

Barras and Edge

bionic bar

This robot bar deserves a call. It's fascinating to watch the drinks being made, but it's also fun. And it's the only place on the entire ship where you can order drink after drink in minutes. In some cases, you can order two drinks on one card. I've done this many times, but I will mention that this will cut down on your second drink when you're full! It is not a big thing. You go back inside and order your next drink. The concept here is great. You sit down and order from an iPad. You can choose from thousands of drinks or create your own. Then the robots spring into action and prepare the drink of your choice.

The Bionic Bar is located on the Royal Promenade (deck 5) near the bank of lifts and across the Royal Promenade from Guest Services. Once the robot has created its drink, one of the robots places it on the slider. You then need to go to the bar and slide a SeaPass or WOWband over the scanner location to get the drink down the slider. A super cool mirrored wall tells you which slider your mug is on, as fun to look at as neon.

(Video) Symphony Of The Seas in dry dock - The largest cruise ship in the world

  • vintages
  • english pub
  • Pool bar and sand bar
  • sun bar

floodable

Another wildly wild bar concept is the Rising Tide Bar, a floating bar that starts at Royal Promenade Deck (below) or Central Park (above) and winds its way across to Decks 6 and 7 as you sit back and take in the one-of-a-kind view. The Rising Tide bar can be found on the following Royal Caribbean ships:

  • enchant two seas
  • harmony of the seas
  • oasis of the seas
  • symphony of the seas

drink packages

If you're not t-totally, you're going to drink. As we all know, alcoholic and special drinks are not included. You have two options: charge your drinks while you drive or buy a drink package. Let me put that in context for you. I always buy the drink package. I prefer to know in advance what my costs will be and pay in advance so I don't come on vacation with a huge bill.

Since I was traveling with Macaco, I did not buy the package. When I got the bill for my first martini, which cost almost $16, I could have had three or four martinis for dinner, so I immediately ran out to buy the drink package. And I felt like a complete idiot for not being new to this. I think my mindset was how much could or would I spend? The answer is simple, much more per day than the package costs with moderate consumption! I will never risk that again; Drink packages are almost always cheaper to buy before you board.

drink packages available

If you are not familiar with the main packages that Royal Caribbean offers for its cruises, consider the following:

  • water pack: This package can include from 6 to 24 bottles of water delivered directly to the cabin.
  • classic soda pack: You can have the soft drinks you want in the soft drinks or places where you can recharge. However, this only applies to Coca-Cola drinks.
  • soda pack: This pack is perfect if you need a cup of coffee in the morning or orange juice for breakfast. The main drinks included here are:
    • Refills or sources of refrigerant everywhere
    • cola drink
    • Non-alcoholic cocktails (Mocktails)
    • Sparkling and still water
    • First class coffee and tea.
    • safe
  • deluxe drinks package: If you think you need all kinds of hydration, this pack could save your life. Not only do you get the same drinks as with the soda package, you also get the following drinks:
    • alcoholic cocktails
    • alcohol in general
    • Coffin
    • Wine (by the glass only)
    • % discount on the purchase of wine on the boat

vitality spa

All cruise lines have a spa; Many cruise ships expect this. The Oasis of the Seas Vitality Spa offers a full service. Before embarking on your cruise, consider purchasing a couples (or singles) spa access pass, as it's limited to just a few guests. At Vitality Spa & Fitness they offer a wide range of services such as:

  • Sauna
  • Sauna
  • massages
  • facials
  • Voller Hall
  • pedicure manicure

Suite Termal Vitality Spa

I could kick myself for that, and I know better. On the first day you should have checked the spa offers or visited the spa on the first day. I am not! ColossalErrorbecause it turns out that the Oasis Of The Sea Spa has a thermal suite.

Oasis of the Seas - The Enhanced Version (30)

The Thermal Suite features four heated heated loungers, two showers with different water flow themes, and three separate saunas and steam rooms. You can purchase a daily or weekly pass to use the thermal suite for just $99 for the entire week. I was devastated when I found out about this on the 6th, I could have cried.

Steam rooms are one of my all-time favorite spa experiences. I can get in and out of a steam room all day. The next time I'm on an Oasis class ship, my first stop will be to find the thermal suite and book an all access pass.

Casino

A cruise ship is not complete with a packed casino, and Oasis of the Seas is no different. You can play poker, blackjack, slots or exciting dice games. On the other hand, the casino offers an exclusive service to its most regular players based on their level of play. The classes that exist for the best players are:

  • selection: You can receive exclusive offers on events and promotions.
  • Better: You can get discounted packages, free drinks in the casino, or cheaper family rates.
  • business: You can register for freeW-LANFor a single device, a cabin with a balcony that can be entered once a year and other benefits.
  • Maestro: This is the highest level, so you can get all the above rewards, invitations to exclusive events, VIP dinners and a free Grand Suite once a year.

I've been to the casino and it's huge! While I'm not playing at the tables; I'm too cheap for that. Instead I played the slots and won about $100. Unfortunately they didn't have some of my favorite games or I would have spent a little more time there.

discos

Nightlife never stops on the Oasis of the Seas and this is the best opportunity to experience an extraordinary atmosphere. You can enjoy different environments in the same night and feel that everything fits very well. Oasis of the Seas offers nightclub and bar fun, but be prepared to enjoy every second of the night.

all access pass

Thousands of hands are behind every bed, drink, dish and attraction the Oasis of the Seas has to offer. Few people know the art of guiding a cruise ship. However, Royal Caribbean does offer an all-access pass that allows you to see how operations are carried out to keep the ship running. This is your chance to see behind the scenes. Purchasing this pass allows you to enjoy areas that no one on the tour has access to, such as:

  • ship navigation center
  • main dining room
  • crew facilities
  • lager

Another one I want to kick myself for! He had never done a backstage tour on a cruise ship and didn't know what this pass was about. So the next step on my next Royal Caribbean cruise is the All Access Pass!

Shopping on board

Forgot something important at home? Don't worry. There are dozens of shops on decks 5, 6, 8 and 15 aboard Oasis of the Seas. On this boat you can shop for exclusive fashion brands, luxury watches, liquor, jewelry, and groceries. Best of all, each of the products is free of taxes and tariffs. There is also a super useful vending machine where you can buy everything from electronics to toiletries.

Some of the main shops on the Oasis of the Seas are:

  • Michael Kors
  • Kate Spade
  • Gallery next to the park
  • insignia
  • tiffanys
  • Weidenbaum
  • Solera
  • vane
  • more starry
  • Beautiful beach
  • Logo-Shop
  • Lake

Royal Caribbean Privatinsel

Royal Caribbean owns two private islands. Well, one is an island, the other is a resort.

Coco Cay – Bahamas

Cayo CocoIt is a private island in the Bahamas for the exclusive use of Royal Caribbean cruise guests. This island is the surprise that everyone has been waiting for, because the perfect Caribbean vacation includes the Bahamas and many water attractions like the ones that CocoCay offers.

Labadee – Haiti

Labadee was one of our ports of call.

Royal Caribbean's private cruise resort in Labadee, Haiti offers all the beach attractions and water sports you'd expect. The Caribbean has many remote islands, but Labadee, Haiti is a little different. This 260-hectare resort is not a private island, but instead sits on a coastal peninsula. Not only are the larger Oasis-class ships able to dock at the pier, but visitors to Labadee don't have to use dinghy. It is a closed complex and it is more than 800 meters long and 400 meters wide, so it is very easy to walk.

Everyone can easily access the park as the roads are paved. It is also possible to take the free boat to the quieter Columbus Cove during the day. A courtesy trolley also operates around Labadee with stops at Barefoot Station, Town Square, Dragon Zipline Station, and the pier. It's a fun place to spend the day. Enjoy a variety of water sports in the warm Caribbean waters and four beautiful white sand beaches. In addition to the alpine roller coaster and one of the longest zip lines in the world, Labadee also has someAdrenaline- bomb tours.

There are many other things to do in Labadee including Arawak Aqua Park with its Dragon's Splash water slide, cabana rentals, parasailing, jet skiing, fishing, speed boat adventures, catamaran cruises, cultural adventures,Kayac, snorkeling, sailing, cafes, bars and playgrounds. You will be pampered!

Of course, Macaco chose to conquer the zip line, and I have no complaints!

Oasis of the Seas - The Enhanced Version (31)

final considerations

If you love cruising, you'll love Oasis of the Seas - Amplified. If you are new to cruising, you will want more. I liked this boat in particular because there is so much to do. You don't have to get on the boat to get the full resort experience. For example, it rained in Nassau. Not a big deal for Monkey or me as I've been there many times. More importantly, this wasn't a major problem for Monkey, as it gave him more time to explore the ship's amenities. While I've covered most of what's available, it's a ship that will require a few trips to see or experience everything.

The Oasis of the Seas is the best cruise I've ever been on. It exceeded every expectation I had for the cabins, food, drinks, entertainment, and amenities. I can't think of any constructive criticism of the boat, the crew, or the overall experience. You all know that I am not easy to impress and hard to please. To say that, I have to say that it's above average: it's perfect.

The cruise is not my only travel option, but this cruise has me looking for the next one, and I can assure you that it will be another Oasis class. To the monkey, now she's ruined for life, and all the other cruisers have to throw a unique thunderclap to get her attention!
