Support people in cancer treatment

We always give back to our community in many ways: we clean free for local non-profits and offer 2 free cleanings for everyone in the communityare undergoing cancer treatment, we donate gift certificates to any local silent auction that requests (an average of 40 $200 gift certificates per year), and most recently over the summer we host a Hometown Heroes giveaway where we donate $30,000 to medical workers for free cleanings that they have been on the front lines donating in the early months of COVID-19.

As a former foster child and homeless young adult, it is extremely important to me to give back to the community that has supported my success. Our cancer cleanses are also very close to my heart now that my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia last year and I saw firsthand the importance of the cleanse for families with cancer.

Host a TED Talk-Style Virtual Fundraiser

When you think of examples of businesses giving back to the community, there are the obvious ones of donating money or volunteering time to help organizations that are doing great things for those affected. While it's important to help in any way you can, I believe there are many other creative ways to give back. As an entrepreneur and businessman, I can do that.offer a lot of knowledgeof my experiences in the business world.

Hosting a Ted Talk-style virtual fundraiser where audiences come to learn and leave motivated and inspired is a valuable and creative way to give back. Allow virtual assistants to donate money to an organization of your choice, or even allow business owners who have been little affected by the pandemic to attend to hear from other business owners and experts on how to survive during these difficult times. Running an event like this would require minimal investment, keep everyone safe, and have the potential to help so many people.

Get others to donate to collect your brains

A creative way to raise money to donate to the communities that are suffering the most from the pandemic is to offer my knowledge as an entrepreneur and expert in the field of digital marketing. Send an email once a week with the option to post a lesson or tip on how to improve a business's digital marketing presence through engagement.donation correspondenceActivities.

I think this idea is beneficial to everyone involved; I get to share my knowledge, donors receive useful information that they can directly apply to their business, and their money goes to the people who need it most right now.

Encourage employees to volunteer and pay them for it

A philanthropic initiative that we offer to all of our employees at Boundery encourages each individual to spend 3 business days outside of the quarter forVolunteer at a charity or organization of your choicebe fully compensated. This initiative allows employees to choose where to divide their volunteer hours and encourages new charities and organizations at our offices.

Independent of Boundery, my wife and I work closely with the Casa de Amparo organization, which aims to help children affected or at risk of child abuse and neglect. Given the current situation in our country due to the pandemic, we have been very active in bringing together colleagues and business people who may have additional resources to donate to the charity. Reward Community Heroes

We have undertaken three projects to give back since the pandemic began.

The first project was on a smaller scale, paying $200 to a local coffee shop to cover $5 of 40 orders that day. We created a positive message the size of a small business card that we are all in this together and want to enjoy the gift of granite and marble camp.

The next project we did was to ask the community to nominate a local teacher who would commit to working remotely and teaching their students virtually. We received countless nominations from the community and decided on a winner. The owner of the granite and marble store and I met the professor at a local grocery store, where they paid for the entire dinner for the professor's family.

The final and most exciting project was the donation of five granite countertops to local heroes, regardless of rank. We ran a two-month campaign asking the community to nominate local heroes, from grocery workers to first responders. We have selected five winners and are in the process of selecting and installing the fully covered granite countertops.

Weekly donations to the most supportive organizations

We have launched a Take Charge for Charity programme, where a weekly donation is made to a local charity chosen by team members. These organizations represent the best of our community, those who have dedicated their lives to feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and helping the vulnerable. We wanted to do our part to give back to those most in need, and these donations seemed like the perfect way to do it.

We have reached our 120th consecutive fundraising week!

Donate a mask with every purchase

In lieu of COVID-19, we ditched the music festival craze and started making face masks. For every mask purchased, we donate a blank face mask to charities that support those on the front lines. To date we have sold over 75,000 masks and we look forward to helping as many as we can! In fact, we just donated 10,000 masks to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center - San Pedro!

Here are the organizations we've donated masks to so far:

– Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center, St. Peter

– Lompoc Valley Medical Center

– Boys & Girls Clubs in the Central Orange Coast

– The New York Bridge Fund Inc.

Support minority-owned businesses

One of the ways my company has been able to give back to my community has been by creating the Mississippi Gulf CoastBlack-Owned Businessesnetwork and the creation of an annual MSGCBOB award. Being the owner of an African + Hawaiian enriched brand, I had a hard time identifying my ideal customer. I felt that if I had this problem, other black-owned businesses would too. So I started a group where BOBs and local consumers can come together and do business with each other.

We also host networking events, Melanin Village Market Places, and our annual awards ceremony that celebrates small businesses in the area. When Black Panther came out, I bought the theater for Black-owned businesses and their families to experience what Black excellence looks like.

Alexis L. Williams, owner ofaloha glamour

Financially support low-income entrepreneurs

I have always wanted to help the community. However, it was mostly about giving my time and not my money. Now that I've been in this industry for 15 years, giving back has become part of our company culture.

We get involved in the community through our annual Thrive Camp, an event where we bring our employees from around the world to our Texas headquarters to volunteer. We also partner with Kiva, a nonprofit dedicated to helping low-income entrepreneurs in more than 80 countries. We financially support entrepreneurs who strive to maximize their potential, including farmers or women selling produce in Africa.

I think when you've gotten to a point where you've accomplished so much, this is your chance to give back to people, to get them to the same place that you're at.

Collect donations to improve the lives of others.

I strongly believe in helping my community. Last year I ran a series of free marketing workshops to teach local small business owners about free ways to use online marketing to get more customers in partnership with their local council.

As part of Progreso Relief, an informal group of people who came together to help the community, we have raised funds and fed more than 1,200 families in our city who were suffering from loss of income when COVID hit. We offer grocery packages,Purchased through local businesses to keep more money in the community, and delivered them to families and people in need under strict security protocols, supervised by a retired nurse. Donations came from Mexico, the United States and Canada.

When Tropical Storm Cristobal hit the area and flooded many homes, we again raised funds and partnered with local restaurants to provide meals for over 400 people in makeshift shelters, then used the remainder of the funds raised to provide gift certificates through a local hardware store to help people buy materials and tools to repair flood damage to their homes.

I was the first president of the English Rotary Club of Mérida, the first English-speaking Rotary club in the state of Yucatán, Mexico, and led a project to put computers in computer labs in Progreso, Yucatán, which currently has no computers for students share. That's right, zero computers in computer labs in 2020! These days, teachers bring their own laptops and teach students via a projector, which really isn't a way to effectively learn computer skills.

Feed the hungry together with your coworkers

Every year at the beginning of the first quarter, we get our team together and go to a place in Plano called Feed My Starving Children. The whole company is there and we are packaging food for children from all over the world. After we pack our bags, they show the impact we make and pay for food. It is our best event of the year.

Provide delicious pizza to healthcare workers.

At Donatos, we believe in giving back to every community we serve. Rather, it is about living up to the Latin meaning of our name: to give something good. During the COVID crisis, we've been giving away hundreds of pizzas to frontline healthcare workers and community panel volunteers who are working harder than ever. And this is in addition to all of our normal philanthropic activities.

Giving the less fortunate equal housing opportunities

At Logsdon Home Buyers LLC, we support our community by purchasing vacant properties and using them to advocate for a "second chance homeownership" by providing homeownership opportunities to those who are unable to accommodate traditional lenders due to difficult financial situations ( foreclosure, bankruptcy. .)

We do this because vacant properties become a haven for criminal activity and reduce the real estate value of neighboring homes. We believe that home ownership has many positive impacts on our community in terms of mental/physical health, our youth, and participation in civic duties such as elections.

We believe it is unfair to deny a family the opportunity to turn a house into a home based solely on their past financial problems without attempting to fully understand their current financial situation.

Paul Logsdon, Founder ofLogsdon Home Buyers

Encourage fundraisers to open their wallets

We have been in the bartending business for over 28 years, supporting our charities and local communities by offering our services free of charge so they can run a successful fundraiser.

We donate bartenders, alcohol, beer, wine, and all mixers so they can keep their costs down. We will also help you obtain your Series 15 special events license for the event as it must be submitted for city and state approval. Serving alcohol is always good for auctions.

We work with some of the largest charities in AZ and are delighted when they are successful.

Bring the community together to turn business ideas into reality

I'm Tonya Cross, Accessories Designer for Accented Glory and visionary for The Vine Events. The Vine Events is my non-profit organization that hosts informative events like personal development workshops and small business workshops. I am the moderator of these events.

Through my organization, I organized the Salisbury-Rowan Black Business Launch Contest. As an entrepreneur, I personally know the difficulties of finding financing and resources to start and grow your business. So I reached out to local black business owners and asked them to invest money in the winner of the field and rate the field. In addition, I have asked other black companies to offer business services to the winner of the field.

Within 24 hours I received verbal promises of money and service packages for the camp winner. The response was so overwhelming that my entry committee was also able to award amenity packages to second and third place winners. The pitch competition audience was also able to participate and vote for their favorite pitch! It was truly a collective effort and a great way to bring our community together and seed a local black owned business.

Collect donations for women's shelters

My employees and I collect donations. I did a social media drive (between personal contacts) for a women's shelter, asking people to deposit donations of diapers, bottles, infant formula, women's products and bath supplies in a bin outside my door and they placed a handful around town.

I set up three different delivery times/days for the public to drop off at the office drop off points. After two weeks I collected all the donations and delivered them to the shelter along with a check from the company. We've doubled that with a food bank and a vet center. They were all non-contact, giving people a sense of security and an opportunity to contribute.

Establish internet for families in need

Our company helps people find Internet Service Providers, so we are constantly making connections and updates for people. In fact, the pandemic has been unexpectedly good for us because in some cases, with so many people, internet use has skyrocketed. We had a 15% increase in customers and sales, so we're very happy and wanted to pass that on.

Whenever we can, we provide free internet to families in need. It's just our way of giving back and thanking our community for the support.

Sean Nguyen, Director ofinternet advisors

Show your love and support to your elders

We volunteer at Willing Hearts to prepare food ingredients for seniors such as: B. Cutting vegetables and meat, packaging cooked food, delivering and distributing to those in need. There are designated chefs to cook, so let's focus on other areas. They are prepared for more than 5,000 elderly and needy people who will receive meals during the weekend.

The reason we are volunteering is that we want to pay tribute to these old men who did everything they could to build Singapore over 40 years ago. By helping them save a meal or two a week, we also help take the pressure off their finances.

Ciro Yung, Director ofAscelade

Years of Commitment to the Homeless

While working at a gym under the Twitter building in San Francisco, I saw Warren Buffett a couple of times when he came to volunteer. In a year I found him with the crowd in the street. This man is one of the richest men in the world, but even so, it was really inspiring to see how comfortable he still is giving back to people. He may be on perpetual vacation, but he does volunteer work and talks to everyday people.

Seeing her warmth and how much she prioritizes her volunteer work inspired me to continue serving dinners to the homeless and volunteering at Sunday Streets Mission for many years. No matter how successful I am, my family, my business, and I will always give back to the most vulnerable in our community.

When you look at these companies that are giving back, it's impossible not to be inspired. His selfless social responsibility demonstrates that ideas of corporate citizenship are not limited to monetary donations.

Businesses that give back to the community tend to be the smaller local businesses in our communities rather than large corporations. Because companies that give back have a big heart, but not necessarily a lot of money.

You can be a one man band and still help more than a company with 1,000 employees.
